Privacy Policy

Valuto is a pre-launch travel payments app made by Gevelopers LLC (“Valuto”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect from visitors to this website and members of our waitlist, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write it the way we write everything else: plainly.

1. Who we are

The data controller is Gevelopers LLC, [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

2. What we collect

This website is a waitlist, so we collect very little:

• Email address — when you join the waitlist. This is the only thing we require.
• Next destination — optional. If you tell us where you are travelling next, we use it to decide which countries to open first.
• Referral source — if you arrived through a member’s referral link, we record which link so that member moves up the list.
• Usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (country level), device and browser type, and how you found us. This comes from Google Analytics (see section 5) and standard server logs, which also record your IP address.

We do not collect payment details, card numbers, government IDs or bank information on this website. The Valuto app, once launched, will have its own privacy policy covering the data needed to provide payment services.

3. Why we use it

• To keep your place on the waitlist and email you when Valuto launches in your region.
• To send occasional updates about the product — where we are launching next, what has changed. You can opt out of these at any time; we will still send the one email that matters, your launch invitation, unless you ask us to delete you entirely.
• To apply the founding-member benefits described in our Terms.
• To understand which countries our members are going to, in aggregate.
• To keep the website secure and working, and to measure whether it is useful.

Our legal basis (where one is required) is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in running and improving a website for a product we are building.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Email delivery — [EMAIL PROVIDER], to send waitlist emails.
• Hosting — [HOSTING PROVIDER], which serves this website and stores form submissions.
• Analytics — Google LLC, via Google Analytics (section 5).

Each is bound by contract to use your data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our members or ourselves.

5. Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the page people use. Google Analytics sets cookies and records a pseudonymous identifier, your approximate location and your device details. You can block these cookies in your browser or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; the site works exactly the same without them.

The site also uses your browser’s local storage to remember that you have already claimed a founding spot, so the counter does not change twice. That value never leaves your device.

6. How long we keep it

We keep waitlist data until Valuto launches in your region and for up to 12 months afterwards, so we can honour founding-member benefits. If you ask to be removed, we delete your details within 30 days. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months. Server logs are kept for 30 days.

7. Where it is stored

Our providers store data in [REGIONS]. Where data leaves the region you live in, we rely on our providers’ standard contractual safeguards.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, or object to how we use it. Whatever the law says, we will honour any of these on request. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Using it removes you from updates but keeps your waitlist place; reply “delete” to be removed completely.

9. Children

This website and the waitlist are not intended for anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has joined, tell us and we will remove them.

10. Security

Submissions travel over HTTPS. Access to the waitlist is limited to the people who need it to run it. No method of storage is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if we learn of a breach affecting your data.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will email waitlist members before the change takes effect. The date at the top always tells you which version you are reading.

Valuto is a technology provider, not a bank. Payment services in the Valuto app are provided by licensed partners, who will have their own privacy terms when the app launches.
